Caramel-apple Pudding<\/p>\n
Dough:<\/p>\n
1 \u00bc C brown sugar<\/p>\n
1\/3 C shortening<\/p>\n
\u00be C milk<\/p>\n
2 C flour<\/p>\n
4 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n
A little salt<\/p>\n
Syrup:<\/p>\n
1 1\/3 C brown sugar<\/p>\n
3 C water<\/p>\n
1\/3 C butter<\/p>\n
Boil for 2 minutes Mix dough ingredients together. Put 1 \u00bd C apples (or more) into a baking dish. Pour the batter over the apples and pour the syrup on top. Bake at 350\uf0b0 Fahrenheit for about an hour. The baking dish should be no more than half full, as it rises about double while cooking. The dough will rise to the top and the syrup will make a very sweet gravy below it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
