The resulting vision statements are the outcomes of these gatherings<span class=\"s2\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p3\">Durham Meeting is a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">circle of Friends<\/span><\/strong> who admire, inspire, encourage<span class=\"s2\">,\u00a0<\/span>support, and love each other with God at the center.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">We are a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">learning community<\/span><\/strong> of se<span class=\"s2\">e<\/span>kers, teachers, doubters, and believers. With open minds and hearts we seek truth. We support and encourage ministry among us.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">We are a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">seasoned community<\/span><\/strong> interested in <span class=\"s5\">attracting new attenders <\/span>of all ages because of who we are, what we believe, and how we live peacefully and joyfully in a challenging world.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">We are a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">service community<\/span><\/strong> who mak<span class=\"s2\">e<\/span>s the world better with our prayers and our individual and collective actions. We help each other in need and celebrate each other in success<span class=\"s2\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">We are a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">spiritual community<\/span><\/strong> guided by Christian principl<span class=\"s2\">e<\/span>s<span class=\"s7\">, <\/span>Quaker testimonies, and the sense of the meeting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">We are a <strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">tolerant and humble community<\/span><\/strong> that welcomes new and different ways of understanding God blend<span class=\"s2\">e<\/span>d with our traditional beliefs.
