Nine women listened to a program given by Qat Langelier on \u201cGo and Tell all the Nations, a call to tell and listen.\u201d\u00a0We were encouraged to speak with humility and to listen to others from other lands who can teach us. Qat also shared from the book <em>Bread for the Resistance<\/em> by Donna Barber on ongoing conversion, or what Quakers call continuing revelation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Dexter made a donation to Humane Society via the Woman&#8217;s Society in honor of Mildred Alexander. Thank you, David!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prayers were shared for Friends throughout the world dealing directly with COVID-19.\u00a0The monthly Tedford house meal was delivered to a smaller group at the house due to COVID-19.\u00a0Groceries are accepted at the family shelter by contacting beverly@tedfordhousing.org.\u00a0Conversations and sharing of stories ended the meeting as we continue to grow in our journeys.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next meeting is Monday, November 16, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom.\u00a0All are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Durham Friends Woman&#8217;s Society met October 19, in the evening, via Zoom.
