Inspired after an extended time of duress<\/em> ~Mey Hasbrook, November 20, 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

_\/|\\_ _\/|\\_ _\/|\\_<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May the Spirit of the Living God fall afresh upon us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

into our hearts and among our communities,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

alongside neighbors and opponents,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

moving us toward strangers and the estranged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who mourn on the day called \u201cthanksgiving\u201d be held with care, even wrapping one’s arms around one’s self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who gather to break bread seek to mend rifts that distance us from one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who are \u201calone\u201d this season invite the blessed company of the Earth, the angelic host, and those who’ve come before us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who are exhausted be gentle and kind to ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who are ill find hope and wholeness wherever is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who are materially, spiritually, and\/or emotionally rich especially extend generosity with openhearts and hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who carry hurts and hindrances lay them down at the banks of the Living Waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May we who face challenges beyond our imagination find renewed comfort in Psalm 23 and the music of songbirds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May the Spirit of the Living God fall afresh upon us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
