At a Meeting for Worship for Healing on February 11, 2024, Leslie Manning led us in the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer <\/em><\/strong>by Maya Angelou (call and response) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Father, Mother, God, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for your presence <\/p>\n\n\n\n

during the hard and mean days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For then we have you to lean upon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this we give thanks\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for your presence <\/p>\n\n\n\n

during the bright and sunny days, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

for then we can share that which we have <\/p>\n\n\n\n

with those who have less. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this we give thanks\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And thank you for your presence <\/p>\n\n\n\n

during the Holy Days, for then we are able <\/p>\n\n\n\n

to celebrate you and our families <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and our friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this we give thanks\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who have no voice, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we ask you to speak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask your mercy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who feel unworthy, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we ask you to pour your love out <\/p>\n\n\n\n

in waterfalls of tenderness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask your mercy.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who live in pain, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we ask you to bathe them <\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the river of your healing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask your mercy.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who are lonely, we ask <\/p>\n\n\n\n

you to keep them company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask your mercy.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who are depressed, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we ask you to shower upon them <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the light of hope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask your mercy.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Creator, You, the borderless <\/p>\n\n\n\n

sea of substance, we ask you to give to all the <\/p>\n\n\n\n

world that which we need most\u2014Peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
