The Social Justice Book Project is now chronicled in a splendid article in Friends Journal, just published. Kudos to Ingrid Chalufour and to many others who worked together on this.

“In these dark times when people are wondering what they can do, Durham (Maine) Meeting has found a path to peace education in local schools. In the fall of 2020, Durham Meeting held a series of conversations about becoming antiracist, including how we might live out our values in our local community. The Social Justice Book Project grew out of one of those conversations.”

That’s how it begins: Ingrid Chalufour’s account of the Social Justice Project she has led on behalf of Durham Friends Meeting and working in collaboration with teachers from schools in our area.
