From Portland Friends Meeting, an invitation:

Greetings, Friends! 

       You are all invited to a Meeting for Worship with Attention to Singing, Friday October 16 at 5:30.  We’ll have a light potluck supper, then at 6:15 settle into worship with the intent to express ourselves through communal singing.

For the most part we will use simple songs in the oral tradition (teaching it line-by-line without written music).  Friends are encouraged to bring a song to share–and we can also use Worship in Song as needed.  Let’s gather to celebrate the blessings of our community through music.
